Working with both thick and thin dye applications, you’ll create richly layered surfaces while exploring direct application, monoprinting, and screen-based printing techniques. Emphasis is placed on improvisation, intuitive mark-making, and the development of your own unique visual language. Throughout the week, you’ll explore a wide range of techniques, including stamping, stenciling, breakdown-style printing, monoprinting, and screen-resist methods. Color mixing and layering strategies will be introduced progressively, allowing you to build layers of confidence as you work.
